Liked: loved everything about this campsite! the staff were so friendly and came around and asked if we had any questions and if we needed a fire pit which they sell for £17.50. The grounds were gorgeous, it wasn't too busy so we had loads of space and couldn't hear anyone around us, the location is lovely with lots of farms around and the stags head pub is the quirkiest pub ive ever been in, definitely an experience! the facilities on the camp are so well kept, lots of toilets and always stocked with loo roll, the showers were lovely and warm and clean, the washing up station was great and stocked with things to wash up with, there was also a section with freezers! we biked the monsal trail one of the days and the drive is so close, perfect location. will definitely be back.

Liked: The facilities were immaculate, multiple toilets and showers. Clearly labelled. Staff came round to ask if we had any questions, very friendly.
Disliked: There was a festival over the hill which was quite loud. I know it isn’t the camp sites fault, but had we known it was nearby, I’m not sure we’d have picked the site that weekend.

Liked: A great site. Perfect location and very peaceful. Our pitch was flat, sheltered and with stunning views of the sunset. Facilities were spotless and plentiful. Easy check in and friendly helpful owners.

- space - although busy due to it being a bank holiday weekend, still felt spacious with loads of room per pitch
- can pick where to pitch
- very clean facilities
- chilled atmosphere
- some fully enclosed toilets as well as cubicles for extra privacy

- Co-op ten mins away
- close to Monsal Trail, Bakewell, Buxton and other places of interest
- can park on pitch
Disliked: - not much to say here and only very minor
- as mentioned in other reviews there are only two pot wash sinks, one of which has hot water but only had to wait about five mins at peak times. Wouldn’t put us off returning.
- depending on mobile network, signal not fantastic. I know this can’t be helped by the site itself, only mentioning it in case that’s important for someone.
