The sits in its own exclusive space of about 250 square metres of garden retreat in the Andalusian Alpujarra, the high-up landscape that has the Sierra Nevada and the two highest mountains in Spain (the Mulhacén and the Veleta, fact fans). Local villages are within walking distance.
The luxury yurt is handcrafted, set about 200 metres from the site's car parking (the ground is a bit bumpy here, so you might be better off bringing a rucksack rather than a wheelie suitcase). It's well equipped with plenty of bits and bobs you need for self-catering glamping, and comes with a good bit more to keep you comfy: a covered outdoor kitchen, private eco-friendly bathroom and plenty of space for your very own use to kick back, relax, read or just soak up the sights and sounds of nature from the hills and valleys surrounding.
And there's a bit more – how about having a hamper delivered to your yurt ready for the morn? Order the breakfast hamper when you arrive to be all ready for brekkie in these splendid surroundings as soon as you wake up.

Take the turning to Atalbéitar opposite the petrol station in Pórtugos. Look for Cortijo Opazo. The campsite is 200 metres down this road.

Between the city of Granada and the Mediterranean coast, the secluded and mountainous Alpujarra region is one for high hikes and valley wanders, wild swimming in mountain streams, birdwatching and nature spotting, strolling along the banks of the Rio Trevelez and Rio Poqueira… this paragraph was brought to you by the theme 'relaxing'.
From 's local village of Pórtugos, hike even higher up for about an hour and a half to the waterfall where two rivers meet at the Junta de Los Rios. A recreation area with picnic tables is here too for snacks amid spectacular scenes.
Elsewhere around the Alpujarra, pottering around the other high villages or among the olive groves on the lower slopes and trekking as much as poss of the GR7/E4 European long-distance footpath are decent days out; if you want to travel a bit further, Granada is about 75 kilometres away.
