On site, in the surroundings, and along the coast for fably scenic day trips to France... what an utter beaut it is from here in all directions.
Have a sightseeing and seaside stay at Vilaggio Colombo, set on a quiet hill on the Ligurian Sea coast and Italy's Palms Riviera, in a handsomely nifty setting for a road trip across the French border to Nice via Monte Carlo and Monaco. If you're not up for driving, Andora train station is half a kilometre's amble away, for day trips to Alassio, Sanremo and Savona.
But sticking around your Savona seaside base is a mighty sensible option too... as this peaceful place is an easy three kilometres from Turtle beach and Porto di Andora for watery activities such as snorkelling and sailing. If you don't care to stir even that far, ambling routes including a wooded footpath and a dog walking trail leave from the site.
And if you don't care to stir even for that..? Spend your time in and around the Vilaggio Colombo outdoor pool instead, where there's a diving board if you're feeling adventurous and a sun terrace, sun loungers and deckchairs if you're not. A roomy paddling pool is next to the main pool, again with loungers alongside.
Also on site are a good-sized and shaded playground with swings, slides and a climbing net; a tennis court, and a snack bar to keep up sustenance for long hours under the sun. The leafy surrounds provide plenty of pretty places for strolls and secluded hours if you're looking for something more remote.

In Andora there are two roads with the same name, 'Marchesi Maglione'. If using satnav, please enter 'Via Merula 9'; continue past the Esso petrol station for 100 metres and you'll arrive at Vilaggio Colombo.

If you're staying firmly away from the vehicle keys, 45 minutes' walk south should take you to Vilaggio Colombo's nearest sands at Turtle beach. To get much further afield, saunter to the local train station 500 metres away for connections to Alassio (12 kilometres), Sanremo (48 kilometres) and Savona (62 kilometres).
By car, it's under 10 minutes' drive to Porto di Andora for fishing, diving, snorkelling and sailing – or mooring your yacht at the posh harbour should you be so lucky. The medieval town of Albenga, with the Palazzo Peloso Cepolla manor house and Roman Naval Museum, is within 25 minutes' drive.
If you're Francewards bound, zip along the coast for a spectacularly scenic drive to Nice, 97 kilometres away, via Menton (77 kilometres), Monte Carlo (82 kilometres) and Monaco (83 kilometres).
