What a spectacularly excellent Italian site. For International Glamping Lago di Bracciano is not only in a lakeside setting between Trevignano Romano and the Bracciano-Martignano Regional Nature Park, it's also only 30 kilometres from Rome, reachable via a scenic and easy train journey from the station 11 kilometres away, through handsome Lazio landscape straight to St Peter's and Trastevere.
The lake bordering the site is Bracciano, a popular body of water with clear blue waters and a quiet vibe: windsurfing, sailing, fishing and swimming are all allowed here, but no motorboats and no big boats with more than four people. Bracciano is about 15 minutes from the sea and the nature reserves of Tarquinia Salt Marsh, Macchiatonda, Macchiagrande Oasis and Torre Flavia Marshland: it's not a massive surprise that many of those working in Rome have moved out here and now commute into the city...
Drink in the spectacular lakeside views here from the International Glamping Lago di Bracciano restaurant and terrace, or from most spots on site among its green surroundings. When you're not on the lake or out and about in Rome, the site has a saltwater pool to laze about in, a bar to lounge at and plenty of places to sink down at with a book and a picnic. Bread sales are available on site and there's also a food shop.
Lago di Bracciano has a laundry room, washing-up sinks and toilet and shower blocks with disabled facilities. Water taps are available throughout the site.

Book as much time as poss when staying at this site, some for days around Rome and the Vatican, and some for getting active in the splendid surroundings: Bracciano is a family-friendly location surrounded by hills, sitting in the ancient Volcano Sabatino region and with easily accessible activities for all.
Ask the team about arranging a boat trip on the lake's waters or hire a bike on site to have a ride around Bracciano and its surroundings: many small villages and towns are dotted about to explore, along with restaurants in Trevignano, Bracciano and Anguillara with terraces overlooking the water.
Golf is available eight kilometres away, or you could visit the sand oval of ACI Vallelunga Circuit, once host to the Italian Grand Prix.
When in Rome, do as the Romans do… and also leave a good stack of time for its main Roman empire highlights, including the Colosseum, the Catacombs and the Mausoleum of Augustus. Heaps of green space is around the city too, much of it with swish villas competitively built by the 19th-century Roman aristocracy.
