(Or alternatively, if you find the scent and silence of the lavender fields overwhelming, take a pitch in the paddock with the horses instead…)
There’s lots of space around this site – and plenty of shade from the trees as well. You’ll have very few neighbours (other than the horses) and it’s all nicely fenced off so that everyone can stay in safety.
If you’d like to get to know more about either the lavender or the horses, you’re in luck – you can look in at the lavender workshop on site, or sign up for one of the horse-oriented training courses. When not doing any of that, you might like to take a 10-minute bike ride to the nearby lake, which has a sandy beach area and clean water for swims.
It’s quite a simple setup here, with no toilets, showers or running water provided. Dogs are permitted to join you, though, and will have their own walking area to run around in. The nearest shops, places to eat and other amenities are five minutes’ drive away in Brüssow.

Llocs d'interès
The lavender on site is pretty as well as perfumed, of course – but if you’d like to see some different flowers while you’re here head up to the Christiansberg Botanic Garden (40 minutes’ drive). There are several differently themed areas to explore here, and if you like what you see you can pick up plants to take home at the sales area.
A different kind of garden can be explored in Ueckermünde (50 minutes), which has a sculpture park to wander around – plus an animal park too. Closer to home, the kids may well enjoy outings to Golz moose and reindeer farm (15 minutes) or the Fire Museum Pasewalk (20 minutes), which has a collection of historic fire engines.
If it’s attractive architecture that you like to spot, make an outing to Boitzenburg Castle (45 minutes) or skip over the border into Poland for a day wandering around Szczecin (40 minutes). The city has a pretty Old Town, a castle and a cathedral to explore, plus great museums and places to eat.
