What a lot there is to do in – and around – Camping au Vallon Rouge in the Alpes-Maritimes... If you've never been to this region, get there with some haste, as it's the glitzy slice of French countryside and coast that includes film capital Cannes, Nice and Menton, Juan les Pins, Saint-Paul-de-Vence, Antibes, the French Riviera… best book for a couple of weeks of vacances to ensure seeing the lot.
Set greenly in a shaded locale between sea and mountains, Vallon Rouge is about nine kilometres from the beach at Cagnes-sur-Mer and within easy reach of several other sands along this part of coast. It's also set close to the Loup river – just in case the beach is a tad too far for your watery tastes – where wild swimming and fishing are easy to land.
Et oui, there is rather a lot to do on site too… such as starting off at the big (19m x 8m) pool, or the paddling pool for les enfants, or the sun terrace for sunbathing and reading… Want to dive into more? Delve into getting your FFESSM diving certificate at the site's pool.
Landwise, Vallon Rouge has crazy golf, pétanque and volleyball courts, table tennis, bike hire, a playground and a games room with pinball machines, video games and table football. Entertainment including dance and theme evenings, big-screen karaoke and dinners with shows run all season along with a kids' club.
Le cuisine is covered from breakfast to dinner at the snack restaurant where the qualified team dishes up traditional hot meals from the region, pizza, fast food and takeaway. A barbecue area and a food shop are to hand too if you'd rather sort your own food; either way, the bar is open all day.
Also on site are modern bathroom units, baby bathrooms, washing machines, tumble dryers and a motorhome service station. Wifi is available at the cyber café.
On top of all this, all is secure on site: access to Vallon Rouge is allowed to holidaymakers and their guests only, and all is managed safely by the use of CCTV and individual magnetic keys.

Itineraris
Exit the motorway at the signpost for Cagnes/Mer. Follow the directions to La Colle/Loup. When you reach the third roundabout, go in the direction of La Colle. Once you reach La Colle at the roundabout, follow the road in the direction of Grasse, Rue Honoré Teissere. Keep going on the road of Pont de Pierre.
On this road do not follow Grasse anymore (the road on your left), but keep going 100 metres further on along the road and look out for the site's entrance.

To Cannes, to Nice, to the coast and to French Riviera beaches… all are easily accessible from Camping au Vallon Rouge, along with adventure parks, safari parks and waterparks like Aquasplash; oceanarium Marineland is very much worth a visit too.
Also nearby are the sands, water and deep sea fishing of Baie des Milliardaires beach in Cap d'Antibes, once only accessible by boat, and the Lérins Islands and Île Sainte-Marguerite, the setting of the cell of the Man in the Iron Mask.
