So, you want a family-friendly Finistère break? Within walking distance of the area’s famed beaches, and a short drive from a heap of attractions and activities? And with plenty to keep the small sorts happily amused for hours while on site?
Then you may well want to consider trotting along to Trégunc’s Domaine de Pendruc, a 15-minute stroll from the soft sands and shallow waters of Pendruc and Pouldohan Bay and 15 minutes’ drive from Concarneau (home to a château and an aquarium as well as several watersports centres).
Stick around on site and the activity epicentre is the fab aquatic area, with waterslides and a fun paddling pool at the outdoor pool area and a hot tub by the indoor pool for cooler days. Water polo and aquagym classes provide active options, while the sun terrace beckons for those who shun such endeavours.
Elsewhere around the place are an outdoor fitness area, a pétanque court, table tennis and a multisports court, along with heaps of things especially for les enfants – two playgrounds, a bouncy castle and a zipline should keep them happy when not embroiled in the site’s various organised activities (every weekday during the summer, with entertainment a couple of nights a week too – although not dragging on into the small hours).
On hand to fuel all these frolics is the site’s snack bar, open throughout the day for fresh bread, drinks, ice creams, crêpes and various meals to eat in or take away.

Llocs d'interès
Tear yourselves away from the site’s many charms and head off to the beach – the sheltered waters of Pouldohan Bay are a 15-minute walk away for safe swimming or hiring a kayak to paddle along the coast. In Concarneau, 15 minutes’ drive away, you can sign up for scuba diving or try a spot of windsurfing or sailing.
While you’re in Concarneau, take a wander around Château de Keriolet, visit the fishing museum or meet the underwater critters at the Marinarium. The harbour here is also the place for boat trips to the gorgeous Glénan Islands.
For land-based days, there are 10 walking/bike trails running from Trégunc, and the GR34 coastal path is close by too. Horse and pony rides, treetop adventure trails or rounds of golf can also be had with a drive of 20 minutes or so.
