Planning on taking the kids to Burgundy? You’ll be needing something to keep them busy – and one thing you’ll never run short of at Burgundy’s Domaine de Scott is activities. In the centre of the scenic Parc Naturel Régional du Morvan, on-site facilities here include a bouncy castle for the youngest guests, plus a mini-golf course, pétanque court and tennis court where all the family can show off their skills. There’s a football field for rowdy games of soccer, and a tree-top ride for adventurous guests; luckily there’s also a swimming pool where you can cool down after all that sporting fun. And that’s before you’ve even left the site; other sports including paddleboarding, canoeing, e-biking and pedal karting can also be arranged for you, or you can slow the pace and laze in the sun besides Lac de Pannecière (a couple of minutes’ walk). And now down to the practical details: the camping pitches are all equipped with electric hook-ups, and each has ample space, shade and views of the surrounding countryside. And while there are shops and bakeries in sleepy Montigny-en-Morvan (five minutes’ drive), you can equally well pick up snacks and drinks from the licensed on-site bar.

Parcel·la de terra i gespa amb electricitat per a tenda de campanya

Em va agradar: Schöner ruhiger Platz, der einiges zu bieten hat. Tretroller, MiniGolf, Pool, Restaurant, sehr schön am See gelegen, der See war fantastisch, vor allem weil nie jemand am See unten war, für Hunde somit perfekt!!

No em va agradar: Die Duschen haben keine Ablage, die WCs sind eng, gereinigt wurde leider nicht täglich.

Thanks to its location in the Parc Naturel Régional du Morvan, Domaine de Scott is a hub of hiking, cycling, horse riding and climbing in hilly upland landscapes of granite rock formations and protected woodlands. If you’re keen to stay around base camp, you can chill on the lakeside beach at Lac de Pannecière (a couple of minutes’ walk), stroll the waterside trails and take refreshing dips in the pristine water. When the kids demand more action, let them loose on quad and trail bikes or engage in fiercely contested games of paintball at Cap Extreme adventure sports centre (25 minutes’ drive). When it’s time for some quiet downtime, grab the binoculars and go birdwatching at the Observatoire Ornithologique de Montigny-en-Morvan (five minutes). Change the pace of your days out with a visit to the Franco-British World War II cemetery at Coeuzon (25 minutes), where neatly tended graves sit in woodland, or take a guided tour of the village of Dun-les-Places (half an hour), where 27 residents were killed by the Nazis in June 1944.
