Family-friendly Camping de Bergougne is In the Périgord countryside, two and a half kilometres from the fortified town of Villereal. The campsite is in the middle of the Perigord countryside. Come here to relax, sunbathe by the pool, have a snack at the bar or go fishing in the private pond (no licence needed). The swimming pool is a generous 14x7 metres and has an adjacent paddling pool. The snack bar serves ice cream, cold drinks, snacks, pizza and chips to take away. The restaurant opens in the evening to serve regional specialties, such as confit and magret de canard, as well as steak and chips. Theme meals are organised every Tuesday in July and August. Bread, croissants, pain au chocolat and much more can be ordered daily throughout the high season (July and August). The play area has a large field, adjacent to the pool and the restaurant, with swings, a slide, a small climbing wall and a seesaw. Also on site is a pétanque court for summer competitions, a games room with table tennis, table football and pool tables, and two site donkeys to visit, Jo and Julie. A laundry room with washing machines and tumble dryers is available, as well as an iron and ironing board. The toilet and shower blocks have disabled access.

Itineraris

The campsite is located 2.5 kilometres from Villereal in the middle of the countryside. The road has no name. From Villereal, take the D207 in the direction of Bergerac. Take the first left (D250) and follow the green signposts for Camping de Bergougne.

The site is well placed for many of the attractions, tours and excursions of the Lot Valley in Villeneuve-surLot and Cahors. You could also explore the Dordogne region at Bergerac, Sarlat, and Domme, or visit the nearby caves and castles. Plenty of information is available at reception, so ask the team for its recommendations.
