Em va agradar Beautiful setting, lovely walks onto Dartmoor, good size pod, friendly hosts, private, beds comfy and useful set of patio furniture for eating outside. Also helpful to have an electric ceiling light in the pod with switch but note there are no power sockets in there.

No em va agradar Not a huge issue for us but no WiFi in the pod itself but could get it up at the shower block.

Em va agradar Beautiful location, peaceful and scenic. This is what camping should be. A young fox drank from our dog's water bowl each night. Toilets and showers were always clean.

Em va agradar Nestling right on the edge of Dartmoor, this campsite was peaceful and quiet, with fantastic views onto the moor, loads of space and genuinely fantastic showers. I was able to park next to my tent but moved it down to the parking overnight on Friday as I had a very early start the next morning and didn’t want to disturb anyone by starting my car at silly o’clock. The middle of the large camping field is gently sloping and the best and flattest areas are around the edges so no one tends to camp in the middle, which helps with the feeling of space. Friendly host who came for a chat on the Saturday evening and who is available on her mobile when she is working elsewhere on the farm. Will definitely return.

No em va agradar We didn’t even stay one night out of a 2 night break. Struggling to get a refund!

* Your advert clearly states that there is parking along side each unit. This is not true as we had to park in the car park and walk down to the unit, this was an issue as my disabled mother was with us and she is unable to walk that distance on uneven paths. So we emptied the car into the unit and then had to drive my mother back home (nearly a 4 hour round trip) you can imagine how unhappy the children were.

We arrived back to the accommodation to find the following issues….

* your advert states a certain amount of male and female showers, I do not feel a shower curtain is adequate to separate male and female showers, especially with two young girls in the party.

* very messy grounds, unsure if it meets fire regulations ect.

* no hand soap provided in the toilets- this may sound like a trivial problem but after reading previous reviews this is an ongoing issue so my concern is how many people have used the toilets have been unable to wash their hands properly and then touched door handles, taps ect

* the unit itself was in need of a deep clean, dirty floors , walls, sofa all needed to be sweeped and cleaned .

* the door key it was so rusty I could not remove it to lock the door, which as a parent I was uncomfortable to leave the door unlocked overnight with my children present.

* There is no ladder to get up to the top bunkbed ? Very confused!

* mattresses all dirty, stained, and very unhygienic, I’m quite frankly there was not a chance in hell me or my family was going to sleep on them.

On Pitchup's website against each pod, under the heading Other restrictions it clearly states 'Car parking by pitch not allowed'. It is a shame you didn't read all the details relating to the Pod before you made a booking and brought your disabled mother.
We do have separate blocks of male and female showers (each shower cubicle with their own solid door) and toilets. Not sure what you mean by the comment I do not feel a shower curtain is adequate to separate male and female showers, especially with two young girls in the party, as the block you are referring to is all the female showers. The men's showers are located elsewhere on the site.
The pods are located in a natural wooded garden area as shown in all the photos on Pitchup. The grounds are maintained on a regular basis.
There was anti- bacterial hand wash in each toilet area, we thought this would be adequate. We have now put soap in as well.
The pods are cleaned to the same high standard each week.
With regard to the door key we have had no-one reporting this before and the pod has been occupied on numerous occasions. When we tried it we had no problem with locking/unlocking the door and removing the key.
The mattress covers are all new this season and nobody has commented on this before.
Given the number of issues you have raised we are surprised you made no effort to contact us to help resolve some of them. Especially as we live on site plus 3 phone numbers are clearly displayed around the site for you to contact us on.
Despite the lack of communication and feeling strongly your comments are very unfair we have still refunded you the whole amount you paid.

No em va agradar Quite a rundown place. Only a few spots up on the hill where it is flat enough to pitch a tent. No welcome, no staff. My girls did not want to take a shower here.

Del gerent: I am sorry you did not like your stay here. It is obvious for your review this was not the site for you. We advertise the site as exactly what it is, a working hill farm on Dartmoor, not a holiday park.
We live on site so I am surprised you say there is no staff as we are always bobbing about. As expected we can't be here 24/7 but there are 3 telephone numbers clearly sign posted for you to ring on arrival, if we are not here.
The showers have been newly refurbished this season and are cleaned everyday. Lots of other reviews mention the showers as being great!
