If you're a sucker for a place with a bit of family heritage, have a look at Claylands Caravan Park. The Robinsons have owned Claylands for more than 50 years, when it was a simple 14-acre farm; since then, it’s been transformed into a landscaped holiday park, while keeping an edge of wilderness. This lush place is on the banks of the River Wyre, surrounded by more than 5000 indigenous trees and in a haven for wildlife and birdwatching: look out for squirrels, foxes, deer, rabbits and around 85 different species of bird. On site are carefully pruned hedges, shrubs and trees, loads of green space, and excellent amenities including a modern shower and toilet block, a laundry room, and drinking water taps and waste water disposal points all around. Anglers will be well chuffed with the four well-stocked and well-maintained fishing ponds, abundant with roach, carp and tench: to be in with your fishing chance, arrive with your kit and the appropriate licence, and pick up a day ticket from the family team. Other facilities on site include a handy shop for the essentials, as well as a kids' adventure playground swish enough to make grownups green with envy. Light snacks and homemade meals can be had at Stepping Stones Riverside Bar and Restaurant, just adjacent to the park (open Tuesday-Sunday all year round), which has a takeaway service, pretty views from inside the restaurant and a spacious garden for dining outside.

Em va agradar: Friendly and helpful staff, pitches are nice and love the nature such as the ducks near pitches.

No em va agradar: We were without electric for some time because of an issue, finally sorted. The showers were cold. The pub was nice inside but only opened for one day of our stay. The noise on the pitch from the overhead pylons, the M6 motorway and the railway was constant through the night and was really loud. Also some of the roads at the bottom of the site are not suitable for caravans

Del gerent: We thank you for taking the time to review our park and note your comments, unfortunately the issue with the electricity was due to another caravan on site and we resolved it as quickly as possible but understand your concern over this. The pub is closed on a Monday so unfortunately this must have been one of your days on site. With regard to the noise it does seem to depend on the direction of the wind whether you hear anyting but understand your issues on this. We do wish you all the best for your future holidays.

Em va agradar: Lovely and clean and a great park. Very friendly staff. Fully serviced easy pitch. We were pitched near the tent area. Lovely views and nice and quiet in the evening for us. Great for fishing and good selection of ponds too.

No em va agradar: Small downfall but would still go back. Toilet/bin facilities need to be a little closer for tourers/tent pitches.

Em va agradar: The park was great, food was delicious at the stepping stones restaurant, lovely public footpath walks which were great for young children, bridge over the river wyre was a great feature, staff on site were helpful and friendly, on site facilities were clean, I will be back in the future we had a lovely weekend.

Great pitch on a lovely clean site with a decent bar and restaurant,all staff were nice and polite and i will definitely be visiting again and would recommend to all

Llocs d'interès

You’ll find postcard-worthy surroundings all about Claylands. Water fans can meander along the winding banks of the River Wyre (so winding in fact, this is how the river got its name) and take a stroll on the river’s footpaths; Lancaster Canal is also nearby for lazy waterside ambles. The good news is that the river really is right on the doorstep at Claylands, so all you have to decide is which way you want to go. (If you’re really stuck, the staff on site will be more than happy to point you in the right direction, and reception is full of information leaflets and people ready to share their local knowledge.) Or you could just amble about snapping shots of this Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty... The market town of Garstang, five minutes' drive from Claylands, is an excellent option for this latter, as its whitewashed cottages, uneven streets and country drinkeries may make the imaginative feel like they're in a Jane Austen novel. Further afield, Blackpool is half an hour away, and both the Lake District and the Yorkshire Dales are reachable in under 40 minutes.

Admissió

Només podreu entrar al càmping després de registrar-vos a recepció.

Arribades i sortides

Les arribades tardanes s'han de notificar al càmping al més aviat possible. La vostra reserva queda garantida durant 24 hores. Un cop passat aquest temps, la direcció es reserva el dret de rellogar la vostra unitat.
Si la recepció es troba tancada a l'arribada, registreu-vos al/a la/a l' bar/restaurant or using contact the number provided on your booking confirmation on Mondays..

El bar (i/o el restaurant) està obert del 27/12 al 24/12.
S'ha de respectar el silenci absolut entre les 23:00 i les 9:00.

Gossos

Els gossos han d'estar fermats i vigilats en tot moment.

Recepció

La recepció està oberta de 9:00 a 17:00 entre el 20/07 i el 01/09, així com entre el 01/11 i el 01/04.

Seguretat

Es permet fer barbacoes sempre que no es facin directament al terra i hi hagi un adult que les vigili en tot moment.
Està prohibit fer fogueres.
Està prohibit portar armes de foc.

Vehicles

El preu només inclou un vehicle si viatgeu amb caravana o tenda de campanya. Si viatgeu amb autocaravana/càmper i voleu portar un vehicle addicional, cal que seleccioneu el cost extra corresponent.
Només es permet aparcar un vehicle al costat de la parcel·la. Els vehicles addicionals s'han d'aparcar a la zona designada.
No s'admeten caravanes continentals (caravanes construïdes amb la porta del passatger al costat dret) al càmping.
