Country pubs, quiet bell tents and the Norfolk countryside – what a combo. That’s a little of what to expect at Obstgarten, a family-run site with furnished bell tents set in a natural garden in rural Norfolk. Unwind and reset… the garden is in a peaceful spot surrounded by countryside, scenic cycling routes and country pubs. Where are those country pubs? There’s one 20 minutes’ walk away, another accessible within 25 minutes’ walk and a third community-led pub with street food at the weekends, 40 minutes’ walk away. The ancient Norfolk market town of Diss, 15 minutes’ drive away, has more foodie spots and antique markets. This is a quiet stay in all, with simple composting toilet facilities and car parking. There’s no running water, so bring your own with you or pick it up at the shop 40 minutes’ walk away. There’s lots to explore in the local area, including the Redgrave and Lopham Fen, a nature reserve with over 270 plant species, five minutes’ drive away.
