Feeling ready for some vitamin sea? Pull in at Sycamore Lakes Touring Site in Lincolnshire, 10 minutes' drive away from the Skegness seafront. There’s also a bus stop just outside the park with hourly buses to Skegness if you don’t want to get behind the wheel for such a short trip. You’ll hardly have to drive if you don’t fancy it, as the pitches also have access to a footpath through the back fields to the village of Burgh le Marsh. In the village, there is a heritage centre with a windmill and a restaurant, butchers, a post office, a bakery, pubs and a few small shops. It’ll take you under 20 minutes to get there on foot. Just watch, as a day can fly by at Sycamore Lakes Touring Site. The 30 acres of well-landscaped grounds have hundreds of mature trees and five lakes, including four well-stocked fishing lakes. There are excellent dog walks around the park perimeter and to the village. The grounds also have The Lakes Restaurant, which is already popular with locals. If you do want to scout out what’s further afield, there are five golf courses within a short drive of the site. Gibraltar Point National Nature Reserve is a 20-minute drive away, and it’s a five-minute drive to the very edge of the Lincolnshire Wolds National Landscape, which has pretty villages and stunning walks.

Em va agradar Lovely well maintained site, quiet and peaceful, will be returning hopefully on a bigger pitch.

No em va agradar We were given a small pitch which was intended for a motor home not a touring caravan, the awning would not fit in the space left,so half of it was on the gravel other half was on the grass. All the bins were outside the shower and toilet blocks which did start to smell when full.

Em va agradar Excellent place we went with family and everyone enjoyed it..lovely clean well maintained campsite good size pitches.managed really well nothing too much trouble staff were excellent..fishing lakes perfect.the restaurant on site supherb outstanding food absolutely loved sycamore lakes will definitely be back again 😀 location perfect short drive to Skegness and to fantasy island

Em va agradar Everything, peaceful, great fishing, spotless toilets and easy access to nearby areas, only minor thing was WiFi tripped out often, also have to mention lady on reception, soooo helpful with information 👍 👍👍

Em va agradar Very clean and well maintained site. Smaller than other campsites, quiet and peaceful. Tent pitch 46, great location.
Wash facilities are clean and well kept. Plenty of bins.

Em va agradar Very clean and the pitch grass ground is soft and green, well maintained, staff friendly and customer service is very good.

No em va agradar toilet and shower facility a bit far, but its okay and can accept.

Em va agradar Lovely site. The staff in the bar and reception were really friendly and helpful.

No em va agradar The pitches around the lake were close together and I feel they could benefit from being looked at, and for each pitch to be marked clearly.
I initially had nowhere to park my car due to the tents either side being too close or using both sides of their tents for cars/trailers leaving us no space. This is frustrating when we are paying full price for a pitch and are limited on space.

The bins were swarmed with wasps and rubbish was left lying around the bins due to these not being emptied.

There was nowhere for children to play, a small park/play area would be beneficial.

Em va agradar Pitches were a good size, cost was reasonable.

No em va agradar Lack of water point near pitches so if you didn't have a water carrier you were stuffed once on pitch.

In addition to wide expanses of sand, Skegness (10 minutes' drive) has the seafront Pleasure Beach, an amusement park with a Ferris wheel and thrill rides. If roller coasters are not your speed, try the attractions at Skegness Pier (from escape rooms to climbing walls), or head to Natureland Seal Sanctuary, where you can also see penguins and meerkats. With a thrice-weekly market, lively Louth (half an hour) is a good spot to stock up on artisanal foodstuffs. Just west of the town is Hubbard’s Hills, a lush park popular for picnics on the banks of the River Lud. Louth is also the gateway to the Lincolnshire Wolds National Landscape. The university city of Lincoln (an hour) has an imposing Gothic cathedral dating back to the 11th century, and a castle commissioned by William the Conqueror. Walk along the ramparts for splendid views of the city, or climb up the appropriately named Steep Hill, a cobbled street lined with stone cottages and independent shops.
